www.bookmob.ca / www.abebooks.ca Book/textbook buyback Review

As semester is over, I had a few books that I needed to sell. It seems like in Canada, there aren't many places online that do book buy backs. If you were on ABEBOOKS, you need to have a total value of  $50 before you can ship the books for free. Many of the textbook prices that are quoted form them are also significantly lower than the amount you paid for. For example, I purchased my astronomy textbook for $80, on ABEBOOKS, the selling value is only $6. That said, if the value is low that means that many books need to be collected to reach the $50 benchmark for free shipping.
For Bookmob however, I realized that the price they pay per book is lower that ABEBOOKs, but they have a lower minimum for free shipping ($40). I figured because I don't have enough to qualify for ABEBOOKs' free shipping program, I was going to sell mine on Bookmob. That said, the quote that Bookmob gave me was $2 lower for my book than what ABEBOOKs quoted. In summary, Bookmob buys books back at a lower price with a lower minimum amount for free shipping while ABEBOOKS seem to have higher buyback amounts but you need a minimum of $50. So it depends on how many books you have, but it is good to check out the two websites and get your quotes:
Visit bookmob here
or ABEBOOKS here

TIPS
-Books depreciate in value according to supply and demand, so it depends how many people want to buy the book you want to sell. Waiting until you collect enough books.
-These book buyback places often don't buy many titles, so keep in mind when you are collecting books.
