Sushi Garden (Metrotown)

Hey everyone,
Its been pretty busy in life, but I will try to post more. The featured restaurant this post is Sushi Garden. I must say, this is one of the better Japanese restaurants around.Whether it is the taste of the food, or the price, it is quite fair.

The Food
The thing I like about Sushi Garden is that their Sashimi usually comes in generous portions. For about $1 per piece, or a combo (I would recommend getting something like the dynamite combo where you get a dynamite roll and nigiri (sushi with sashimi on top), it is slightly cheaper this way). The other thing is that the sashimi, especially the salmon is very fresh. In addition, they have a good variety of rolls, and on average, it is about $3.95 for 6 pieces.
<- This is the California Combo (about $7. Pretty good value with the nigiri)

The Restaurant
What I don't like about Sushi Garden is that the way traffic is organized inside. It is usually very crowded in there and when you enter, you have to fight your way through a jungle of people and make it to the cash register to count register your name. After, you either have to stand and wait or sit in a bench they have lined up along the windows. On average, the wait time is about 15 to 30 minutes. If you are a person that is ok with waiting, the food is worth its value. However, if you are travelling with kids, you may want to choose a time that isn't rush hour (maybe somewhere between 2pm to 5pm or 8pm-), or you can ask someone to go there earlier and register for your party.

Tricks
What I usually do is order for take out (to avoid the congestion). If you order 2 hours in advance, you can get a 5% discount (if you pay with cash)
